Desire = not the lusty type

When you truly want something in your life, such as a new career, health or personal goal, how exactly do you use desire & why is it important for goal achievement?

We're about to go on a very interesting exploration into creative imagination - the workshop of your mind. We're going to dive deep into what drives you as a person, so let's get going. Tell me...what do you desire???

Want, desire, belief, faith!

Start with what you want as a goal (idea or thought), then use creative imagination to bring your idea into a mental image - picture the thing you want in as much solid detail as you can. The clearer your mental images are, the sooner they becomes your reality.

Something we must establish right away...https://www.youtube.com/shorts/GjwSXU8nS1c?feature=share

What Bob is saying is multi-layered. Think of what he's saying in terms of your mind. You must create positive space in your mind for the good that you desire, which is your new life goals, by letting go of negativity from the past, in whatever form that means to you.

But for now, we'll specifically focus on desire by looking at it in a certain way. Desire in this blog, is not referring to pleasure, especially that of physicality. It's referring to the mental cultivation of feelings and emotions based around the mental higher faculty of using your imagination to build a clear picture, on the screen of your mind, of ones truest and most desired life goal.

Meaning very simply = by using your imagination to picture yourself achieving or living the way you want, you create emotional desire. When you become emotionally invested in your idea, thoughts or goals, that thought takes up roots of emotion within the subconscious mind.

Desire is a very strong emotion and when it comes to goal setting we must be pretty clear of our intentions. Thoughts and ideas that come from a place of wanting physical desire will result in the manifestation of lustful mindsets, attitudes & behaviours - none of which lead to fulfilling, long-term satisfaction.

Let's focus now on how to use desire, positively!

This is an exercise of the mind. It starts with an idea or thought based on your specificity of choice. Imagine exactly the scenario of you having that perfect job, of having the perfect body of having the perfect relationship or lifestyle.

If your definite goal is to have a certain job, imagine it in your mind, using the following prompts:

  1. What is it that you're doing?

  2. Where are you doing this?

  3. Is it for a specific company, organisation or are you self-employed?

  4. Use your 5 senses to imagine the environment you're in. What can you see, what can you smell, what are you touching, are you tasting anything, what sounds are being played?

Then think about this:

*How do you feel when you're performing this job, what emotions are running through your body and why?

Are you providing a service to others? If so, how will it make you feel when you deliver the best service you can to others? Imagine the feeling of having others be grateful and thankful towards you for doing such a good job.

Imagine the satisfaction you feel from achieving the sales quotas, from seeing your abs push through on your stomach, from snuggling on the sofa with the love of your life - whatever it is, imagine it. Be clear, play around with it - you can put anything you want onto the screen of your mind.

Then, you repeat this when you've found something that fills you with joy, that makes you straighten your back so you stand and walk taller. Desire is linked to passion and when you take control of your mind by telling it what to think about, you begin to receive all sorts of divine power, in the way of images, feelings & follow on thoughts/ideas etc.

But you do have to repeat this daily. This is why it's hugely important to get specific. If it's not specific enough and your goal isn't really something you truly want, you will struggle to think and imagine anything in clarity.

In a short time, you will lose interest and give up. You will tell yourself that this doesn't work and you were foolish for giving it a try. THAT WILL NOT BE THE TRUTH!

The truth is that you must have pure desire for the goal that you seek - without it you just have thought and thought alone isn't always enough to bring about serious life changing transformations.

WORKSHOP OF THE MIND - warning!

Like Bob says, we must be careful of how we use this higher faculty of our mind. If we use imagination to think about getting even with our ex, or old boss, or someone who has wronged us, yes we will create images that relate to that but it will also create feelings of negativity.

You might desire to seek revenge or redemption for past events but let me tell you that you will only create more situations that keep you in the vibration of rage, anger and lack of self-worth to name but a few. It's imperative that you use your imagination to create images of abundance, prosperity, peace and unity, if you want those results in your life.

Seeking revenge or things of that nature might inspire you to go to the gym and work hard etc but ultimately they will consume you because what you are seeking is just a tiny moment of what you think will make you feel better.

When that moment has gone, now what! Do you really think that you will feel better in the long run because I'll highly suggest that you won't. But at the same time, your desires belong to you so I'm merely suggesting a polite warning. However, whatever you choose to focus on and become emotionally invested in, you will start to attract that energy to you in the form of more thoughts, feelings, situations, circumstances & opportunities. So be careful what you wish for because you might get it!

Faith - what about it?

Bob uses Gods will here but if you don't believe in God then replace that with the Universe or whatever you spiritually believe in. If you don't believe in God, or the universal spirit, then you might simply believe in your own ability to manifest anything you want into your own life - it really doesn't matter what you believe because even science has proved the validity and effectiveness of the technique you've just heard about.

Yes it's similar to the law of attraction but if you understand the law of vibration first, you will have the key to manifestation and doing this exercise and practicing this technique is only one aspect of it.

To make our goals our reality, we still need a definite plan and you can read all about that in another blog. Thinking, imagining and feeling alone, will not just magic your life into whatever you desire but it will get your brain creating new cells. When backed with a definite plan of action, your everyday will change because you've now created a new way in which to view your life - an inspiring way, a way driven by passion and desire for the thing you want most.

Let's get back to faith...

If you follow the above suggestions on desire with your definite goal, you will start to believe it's possible to achieve it. Through repetition of the process, over time you will start to transform belief into faith. Faith is the belief in something you cannot fully provide evidence for yet there remains a feeling of trust in that which you are attaching the faith towards.

The extension from faith is I KNOW. This is no longer in question. There is NO DOUBT. When you're in a state of knowing something to be true, it doesn't matter what hits you because your faith is so strong that it's now become a certainty in your belief systems. This is a raging, positive feeling of serenity and clarity.

I'm skimming so much of the interconnectedness of what I'm saying but in other posts I will break them down so things are clearer. But it's worth pointing out that when it comes to faith in something, it's only the same as fear. Both require we believe in something which might lack evidence but fear will keep us stagnant.

Fear halts our movement of action so we do not attempt to achieve that which we have already made our desired and definite goal. Fear really is a tricky and slimy little thing but its reach goes far and is felt in the gut, similar to intuition. It can play tricks on us and ultimately, if we let it, fear will take control once again and our old patterns and ways of being (habits) will kick in.

When we get scared we often jump into the arms of addiction, distraction & procrastination.

Wouldn't it be nice if we can rely on ourselfes to give us the comforting hug we need in our moments of uncertainty. Well we can do that - it doesn't happen overnight but if you apply many suggestions from this site, you will start to develop yourself in phenomenal ways, especially as a person because that's what all this is about.

At the heart of everything that I put out into the world, it's all to help make us better people. To build up our resilience, to gain knowledge that will assist our understanding and to inspire us into living a life based on the right type of desire - that which sparks our spiritual heart.

When it comes to passion and desire try to apply the following:

  • you have to make up YOUR own mind what you desire

  • I use YOUR and not OUR on this one because of this...

The only difference is the 'Y'. Use your specific self to ask why do you desire what you desire. It belongs to you alone and every single one of us has the magnificence of this ability within us. Your why will give you reason for your passions and desires. Use it!

This is a creative part of the discovery process so enjoy it. You'll come across your true desires, I'm certain of that!

Be mindful that you don't set a trap for yourself by focussing on goals based on bitterness and resentment - the results will end up bitter and you will resent going after them. Get ahead of the game by reading the instructions first before you play.

When you add a definite plan of action towards that which you desire, you will start to attract to you that which you vibrate with. Choose your path wisely by searching your heart for that which you desire.

Your desires are at the centre of your success, therefore failure only happens when you give up. Committ to yourself, your future and your goals. Take care and get inspired by what's already within you - you can start by asking yourself, WHAT DO I TRULY DESIRE?
